Best IPTV Players and Apps for Every Device

An IPTV app is the player that shows your channels — the subscription gives you the content, the app decides how it looks and how smoothly it plays. Here is which player to use on which device, with a setup guide for each.

How to Choose an IPTV App

Start with your device

Not every app runs everywhere. TiviMate only runs on Android TV systems, IPTVX only on Apple devices, and Samsung and LG TVs only accept apps from their own stores. Your device's setup guide lists what works on it.

Prefer Xtream Codes login

Apps that log in with a server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes) load channels by category, sort movies and series into their own sections and download the TV guide automatically. Apps that only take an M3U link — such as VLC — are fine for testing but slower with big channel lists.

Check the TV guide and catch-up

If you watch mostly live TV, a good guide matters more than anything else. TiviMate and IPTVX have the clearest guides; IPTV Smarters Pro is simpler but works everywhere. See how the TV guide works.

Free or paid?

A paid player does not give you more channels — the channels come from your subscription. You pay for comfort: a nicer guide, recording, multiple playlists and faster navigation. Start with a free app and upgrade only if you miss something.
